It is the least uniform part of the peninsula — larger parcels, houses built to their own plans rather than a developer's, and kitchens that have usually been remodelled at least once since the house was finished. That variety is the reason a visit here starts with more questions than a visit to a master-planned street does. ## The canopy is the local variable Mature live oak over a lot is the reason to live here and the reason the power flickers.
